„I am thrilled, it is an important award at one of the most prestigious international festivals for a role that is very dear to my heart. Veli, my character in Loverboy, is a strong young woman who does anything for love”, said Ada Condeescu.

Important actors, such as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, were present at the awards ceremony of the Sarajevo Film Festival, and this year’s guest of honour, Michael Fassbender, was the one who handed the award to Ada Condeescu.

„Loverboy” tells the story of a teenage boy who seduces young girls and then passes them on to a prostitution network. In this game of seduction, Luca (George Pistereanu) falls in love with Veli (Ada Condeescu), one of his potential victims. First love could be dangerous for both of them and they have to make decisions which will change their destiny.

The film, directed by Catalin Mitulescu, had its world premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, in the „Un Certain Regard” section. The Romanian premiere of Catalin Mitulescu’s second feature film will take place this autumn.
